Dragon Age: Inquisition

Is anyone playing DA:I? How are you finding it?

I've had much woe on the PC. Dodgy discs won't download, there's a built-in online download option but then it turns out the keyboard/mouse option has terrible sensitivity (which Bioware have acknowledged, no idea if they'll patch it). Everyone is sadly shaking their heads and saying "it's built as a console game, not a PC game." I'm trying one more download and a controller option. If it's still really poo I'll consider a refund and getting a console version instead.

So... if anyone is wondering whether to get PC/console I'd recommend opting for the latter, and then you won't have to worry about if/when a patch becomes available :(

IT'S AWESOME I'm a super cool fierce Qunari mage lady!

My boyface has the game both on PC and Xbox (because he prefers PC gaming and I prefer console) and yeah, the console version is definitely a lot better! No problems with downloads on PC, but the gameplay isn't very enjoyable and the game crashed once while loading. Boooo.

Yay! In the end I borrowed an X-box controller and it was a TOTALLY different experience, once I was playing PC with the gamepad instead of keyboard/mouse it was amazing! So much faster, way more sensitivity and everything just worked! I only sometimes play PC games with a controller and Inquisition is one of them.

Is your boyface using keyboard? If so, I can confirm it's genuinely different with a controller, they've just mapped it properly. Of course if he's playing with controller and still doesn't like it his standards may be higher than mine :)

I'm also mage, but next time I'll have to branch out and try rogue so I can be a dwarf. OMG there are women everywhere in this game. Women being awesome and wearing combat-suitable clothing. Just great. And Varric, so I'm happy.

IT'S AMAZING.

I played both previous Dragon Age games on the PC at first, but then switched to console and I found them both quite awkward on the console because I think they're meant to be PC games, but I was saying to a friend the other day that this one is built as a console game. (I also found the same thing with Oblivion vs. Skyrim, keymapping on Skyrim was awful.)

I'm an elf rogue archer, I keep thinking I should branch out and be a mage because the specialisations on this game look awesome.
