RE: Last film you watched, and review

Yeah Chicago is a really good movie.
This week i wacth a film called SLC Punk! and it was excellent.
Its funny but sad at the same time.

Oh has anyone wacthed a clockwork orange because i want to hear if it's any good?
When i saw a little bio on it that said 'being the adventure of a young man whose princpal interests are rape,ultra-violence and beethoven' i just got so intrigged by it.

A Clockwork Orange has dated, quite badly. It's a good enough movie though. The big problem I have is that Kubrick filmed the American version of the novel, which didn't have the final chapter. And the final chapter is the most illuminating in the book, in my opinion.

But it's certainly worth watching.

i wacthed the hills have eyes yesterday. First off i actually wasnt really wacthing it because the being was very boring but when people started killing the poor innocent sappy victims thats when it got very interesting. Until that pint i actually started wacthing the film. Even though the starting ws crap i enjoyed when the killings started it a ok film. i will probably give it 4 stars.

I watched the English Patient, it's a beautiful film, but not a patch on the book.

A couple of nights ago, I went round a friend's house to watch "Wanted" (Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman) Great cast, shite film. I couldn't take it after an hour and I went home.

I mean, it's really dreadful. I've never had the impression so much of wasting my life.

The Three Musketeers, the 1973 version.

I LOVE THIS FILM!
Oliver Reed is gorgeous and it's completely hilarious.

It's film that's quite hard to watch and some people nitpick about its portrayal of the era but I, too, was very impressed when I watched it. It's the sort of film that Britain does best.

Last night i wacthed Joe Strummer-The Future is Unwritten.
I found the film a good doc and i love the way the presented it with cartoons also when they were talking about his child hood as it was giving Joe's childlike quality.
Also found alot of things that i didnt even really know about him.

But everytime White Riot or Rock the Casbah played i couldnt help but to dance a little.

Last film I watched was Secretary.

Ok, this hit home for me more than most, because it is very much a movie about a BDSM relationship, and the development of both the Dom's and sub's acceptance of their lifestyle. It blew me away with the boldness with which it looked at their relationship, and reduced me to tears more than once, from the pure emotional response it elicited in me from connecting with Maggie Gyllenhaal's character. It's not a movie you can watch without really thinking about, not really light entertainment. There's a lot of stuff that is alluded to, but you have to think about it proper to get the full picture of the story. Watch eeeeet!!

I wacthed a high school dark comedy film called Heathers.
It's about a girl called Veronica who is in a mean spiteful clique of girls and they all have the same first name which is Heather.
Veronica starts to get sick and tired of the Heathers behaviour so she then meets a boy called J.D who in while in film turns out to be a soicopath. Veronica starts resenting the lead Heather and accidentaly kills her. Veronica finds that hanging out with J.D has lead to deaths of popular kids.
I won't continue as i do not want to spoil the end for everyone but i can sum this movie in two ways 'hardcore version of mean girls' or 'plainly a dark gothic film which threads with the word pschoycotic'.

Secretary is a wonderful film.
Gladiator is Oliver Reed's last film :*(
Heathers is a classic!!
Good choices!

I last watched Knocked Up. This film suprised me in that while it's very funny, it's never TOO crude you know? And its also very sweet and surprising.
It would be the perfect date movie if not for the uncomfortable subject matter.

I love Heathers, one of my favourite films that one.

Considering it's Christmas, I've seen no films over the last few days. But I do have The Dark Knight and Wall-E to watch at some point. As well as about three or four solid days worth of television box sets. (And that's possibly just the L-Word...)

Part 12?
Are you saying you didn't see the end of the Breakfast Club?
Can't, obviously, tell you about it here without spoiling it for other people. However, I was very annoyed. Very annoyed.

The Company of Wolves, based on Angela Carter's werewolf stories and a whole lot less subtle. Kind of hilarious though. Doesn't do the original stories justice.

The following is not actual script, but bugger me, it was a close run thing.

"Hey! Heroine of this film! Want to walk in the woods with me, the boy turning into a man? I've got a dagger/penis to fend off 'wolves'!"

"Your teenage dagger/penis is far too small for me now that I am a grown woman and am menstruating, as you can no doubt tell by my red cape. I wouldn't mind a bit of wolfish behaviour after witnessing that pathetic phallic symbol. So I'm going to run off. Bye! Oh look, a huge tree/gigantic penis. I will climb that tree/symbolically embrace the big cock. Oh look, I'm climbing higher and higher. Astute watchers will spot the metaphor. Ah, when I get to the top a gigantic bird suddenly takes flight, I guess I must have just had my first orgasm! Awesome. What's in these eggs? Why, it's a tiny human baby statue! I have finally acheived sexual maturity! Now to become hopelessly attracted to a man/wolf/symbol of masculinity who will validate my powerful womanliness and incidentally eat my grandmother/finish off my chaste dry childhood."
