writing group/workshop?

would anyone be interested in some sort of writing group/workshop? (or have another online group to recommend?) I'm failing miserably at my resolution to write more often, and I think it might be helpful to have a group!

I would like to. :) I'm not sure how we'd organise it, but I'd like to start writing again.

I'm in a writing rut so I'd really like it too, it sounds like a lovely idea :)

how about if we chose a theme or prompt and deadline, and then all posted our writing in this thread?

If you lovely Mooks don't mind my far from perfect English writing skills, I would like to join the club. :)

of course!
so I was thinking that we could do weekly prompts/challenges, and take turns picking the prompt for each week. Does anyone have a prompt they want to use or shall I just pick one?

I don't really have any ideas so if nobody else minds, maybe you should do the first! It's your thread after all, seems fair you should get first pick :)

sorry for dropping the ball on this one, I got overwhelmed by work this week. ANYWAY.
Prompt for this week: your character meets a stranger who claims to be their imaginary friend from childhood
Let's post our writing next friday but definitely feel free to discuss ideas and so on in this thread until then!

awesome! hopefully this group will strike a good balance between "enough external motivation to do the thing" and "not actual stressful if you don't do the thing" :)

I started last night! I was really tired so it needs a bunch of editing & I haven't done all that much, but it's been so long since I sat down and wrote something!! :) this thread is excellent.
