I seem to be asking a lot of computer questions recently...

A few weeks ago, my laptop completely died and I lost pretty much everything on it, including my iTunes with all my music on :( Now I've got my laptop working again, I'd really like to be able to update my iPod BUT one problem, my new iTunes doesn't have anything in it. I've been trying really hard to find a way to do this myself but I'm struggling...is it actually possible for me to transfer the songs that are already on my iPod back onto iTunes??

nah i think it'll just clear the ipod tbh, that happens when you plug it in a differend pc, which is alright really cas it shouldnt take that long to put the songs on itunes normalls.

If you google it there's a long and difficult process that involves changing bits of software and what have you. I didn't understand it myself, and gave up half way through. It can be done though.

Thank you Capulet :) I decided to try Googling it and I actually found a method that doesn't seem complicated at all! I'm gonna try that now. Hopefully, it works...

Hurrah! We have success! Ok, I have lost all my playlists and I'm pretty sure my total song count is down by around 50 songs but I haven't noticed anything glaringly obvious :) When I do notice what's missing, I can just transfer from CD to PC as it's not a huge amount of music.

This is the link I used.

Shame I didn't see this before, but I found a really good program for copying songs from iPod to PC/iTunes ages ago - it's called Sharepod, you can download it free if you Google it. It also means that you can plug someone else's iPod into your computer and take songs from it without it syncing with your iTunes. I doubled my library with it, it's epic!
