| i started using things i find in random places to make things. Something I find on the floor might be my next necklace. but then again, a lot of you must do that. What can you make sillygooses?

I made a diorama for a class project using a mini refrigerator someone had tossed into the deep ravine running through the middle of our campus one time just before most people went home for summer.
More recently I salvaged a bicycle wheel and a floor lamp missing the bulb and shade from the same ravine and turned them into a little contraption where I now hang some of my wet clothing to dry. It's ugly, but it saves the money I would have blown on throwing them in the campus dryers (which also leave horrible static in my clothes now that it's getting cold out).

I made an old skirt that I found into a bumflap...it keeps my arse warm xD
I also made bird-scarers out of old CDs that I found in a skip, I put it on the allotment but someone stole it.

A bumflap is a way for punks to get some more space for slogans on their body when all other pieces of cloth they wear is covered :)
Basically a piece of fabric hanging from your waist like a little flag, covering your bum. One can also wear them over the front or sides of course.
Also, as Becki Boo pointed out, it keeps your bum warm. Handy with the punk lifestyle in colder climates, since you sit down anywhere including cold ground.
Personaly, I'd like to have one made out of the skin of a reindeer calf or something, extremely practical and primitive-chic.

You can put knickers on your head whilst doing makeup to keep your fringe out of the way. That doesn't really count as making something, but it is an odd use for something.

I made a headpiece out of gauze bandage (as "base"), glued a ribbon made of thick red adhesive tape on it - to my boy's pleasure, I used it up and it was all his - and glued a syringe i found lying around next to the ribbon.
It has cost me nothing, as long as I do not have to buy new tape, and it perfectly fits my "weird nurse"-style obsession atm.

Pfft, I'm always making random things urmm...
Made a necklace out of a padlock I won in a christmas cracker :L
Floral headbands out of strips of Tuella and some flowers from pound land.
A charm for my bracelet from a metal 'B' I was given by my art teacher when she found it on the floor... that always makes me laff.
And a believe I once made a bag out of some old jeans and a t-shirt, as you do.
Ohh! I used to make bracelets out of safety pins and beads all the time when I was younger!!
Ohh I want to do it again, yay!

I/my best friend made this bracelet out of the metal parts of clothespins, made a fingerless glove out of a sock (actually, I've made several), reconstructed t-shirts, and I sewed chains to a pair of jeans, though that probably doesn't count.
