Mooky Meet-up Travel Thread

So, as many of you Mooks will have heard there is going to be a Mooky meet-up sometime next summer. This little thread shall just be for posting how you are getting there. I would say just post how your getting there and where you are going from (so the Mooks can group together and perhaps save a penny). Feel free to suggest other ways of travel.

I'll probably start a list with different airports and docks so that people can just get there name added to that list and group together.

I'll probably be going via plane, but if the venue of sorts changes I may well get a boat and a cab.

Post away Mooks!

I'll be 16 then, but still looking the same, so I'll be travelling from Cornwall to London by train on a child's fare ;) (about £20).

Failing that I'll ask dad nicely to drive me there.

Those of us in the UK-Darahgna mentioned the megabus for a pound. Does anyone know anything about the system?

Seeing the Megabus thing I may get the boat from Belfast docks, down to Liverpool or Glasgow then get a Megabus down to London. Seems like a good idea.

There's also National Express buses, but they're a bit pricier.

I'll probably get the train from Milton Keynes Central, my dad will probably come with me to make sure I'm there safely =)

I think I'll end up getting a bus down from Belfast to Dublin, then a ferry to Liverpool or someother coastal town in England then get a bus or train to London. But, I may end up flying if I have the money to.

^It's alright, I probably should have said thanks, but I was lazy and didn't type it.

Just so everyone knows, travelrepublic.co.uk (I'm not sure on the ending just google TRAVEL REPUBLIC) can find very cheap flights and hotels for those of us who are wanting to stay in a hotel. Also Hostelworld.co.uk seems to be very good for finding hostels and such.

I think I'll get the megabus down to London. Two ways would be forty quid plus hostel costs...I'd better get a summer job in the UK. Or save some of my money here haha.

I'll either be in Manchester or Northampton so trains and buses are readily available.

Victory will you definitely be going from Milton Keynes Central? That's where I'll be going from if you want to get the train/coach together.

Yeah, I don't really have any other way of getting there, so sure thing. I'm bringing a friend along too, if you don't mind. I also have my student discount card now so I can get discounted train tickets for us =)

And I told my parents I want to go to Camden with my friends next summer, so they're cool with it.

Megabus from Newcastle! I wonder if it'll be my bus that picks you up on the way down to London? That would be cool.

Argh, this thread makes me confused. So many UK place names I know.
Perhaps in a future mooky meet up shall attend also.

I'm only an hour from London, so I shall pop into Paddington on the train.
Unless I'm living in London by then, you never know I might've escaped the clutches of this dreaded place.

I might get the train down...as simple as that. Of course exact dates, places and such would help so I know how much money I need, and if I can drag my best friend down with me before he buggers off to Aberdeen for 4 years.

Train if I'm Brighton [as it's only an hour and costs £2 if booked in advance] and probably megabus if I'm in Sheffield [£5 if booked in advance]. I am a travel cheapskate.

However, if I'm interrailing round Europe at the time, as planned, this may be tricky :/ As long as it's before July 25th I'll be alright :)

Does anyone know if we have a defiant(SP?) date? It's just because I really need to book my flights early and all.
